Joe Biden slams Gov. Rick Scott over high-speed rail line

Vice President Joe Biden chastised Gov.It seems that jordan 6 rings in coming up for almost everyone including boys and girls. Rick Scott in Tampa on Wednesday, saying he cost Florida thousands of jobs and cutting-edge infrastructure improvements by rejecting $2.4 billion in federal funding for high-speed rail.

"Your governor, God bless him — I don't know him — but I don't get it," Biden said at a private fundraising reception for Sen. Bill Nelson.

"You had the chance. You were the best situated of all the states in the country to put a truly high-speed line from Tampa through Orlando that would have made money," Biden told more than 150 people, who booed the mention of Scott's name.let's be honest: putting on a brand new pair of Nike shox running shoes feels amazing. "Even if you were doubtful,Juicy couture wholesale I don't understand how in this economy in Florida you could walk away from 24,000 high-paying jobs."

Scott rejected the stimulus funding for high-speed rail in February, saying he worried it wouldn't be cost-effective and Florida taxpayers would ultimately be on the hook for cost overruns and subsidies.Keep your muscles warm before and after the match in this stylish Adidas Jacket.

His office did not responded to a request for comment.

Nelson has been trying to cobble together a deal to salvage the rail project, but that looks like a long shot at best. He remained optimistic standing by Biden's side.

"Let me tell you, high-speed rail is still coming to Florida," said Nelson,And there are other stylers for you to choose with cheap christan audigier design and tattoo pattern. who held another reception featuring Biden earlier Wednesday in Winter Park.

Nelson and Obama-Biden will be on Florida's ballot together in 2012. The vice president suggested their political futures are entwined.

"Because of all of you in this room, Bill Nelson won, and, quite frankly, because of you in this room, Barack and I won. Neither Bill nor Barack nor I can win again without you," Biden said.

"Every election time, opponents (of Nelson) trot out the same tired slogan: 'He's a liberal,' " Biden said with Nelson at his side. "You know why it never works? Because this guy, more than almost anybody I've ever worked with, is about common sense and common ground."

Biden made only passing references to Japan and the Middle East, noting the turbulent and complex issues the administration is dealing with at home and abroad.

"The tectonic plates are moving," he said. "What's happening in the Middle East was always going to happen but it's happening simultaneously and where it winds up no one knows for sure."

Among the Democrats at the reception were Tampa Mayor-elect Bob Buckhorn, outgoing Tampa Mayor Pam Iorio and former gubernatorial candidates Jim Davis and Bill McBride.

Biden and Nelson also made an unscheduled stop at George Steinbrenner Field in Tampa to check out the Yankees in spring training. A Scranton, Pa., native and Phillies fan, Biden he joked that his wife would kill him if she saw him donning a Yankees cap and jacket.

The vice president never picked up a ball or bat but chatted amiably with manager Joe Girardi and instructor David Wells. In the midst of fielding drills, the players looked decided uninterested in the visitors.

Baby Dick Vitale, Barack-etology,WilliamSpoonerSucks, Ochocincooooooooooo

The excitement you sense all around you isn't exclusively a result of the Weekly Volcano's Tournament of Pizza. Actually, there's a pretty big college basketball tournament kicking off ... a little something known as March Madness.

Naturally, I jest. Even the deaf, dumb and blind (looking at you, Tommy!) have probably been bombarded with the hype by now. The yearly NCAA men's basketball tournament is off and running, meaning even those who pay absolutely no attention to college basketball the rest of the year have filled out betting pool brackets and are watching the action intensely. Wagering money tends to have that effect. And wagering money on the NCAA men's basketball tournament has become an American right of passage. Just ask Rick Neuheisel.

Oh, and it's not just disgraced college football coaches and us common folks distracting ourselves from mundane life with the NCAA men's basketball tournament; March Madness reaches the highest levels.

Sadly, Obama's 2011 bracket has absolutely zero surprises, picking number one seeds Duke, Kansas, Ohio State and Pittsburgh to make the Final Four - with Kansas prevailing over Ohio State in the National Championship game.

"Kansas has more firepower," ESPN quotes Obama as saying.

Not to be outdone, soon thereafter Sarah Palin released her snowmobile championship series bracket.

STRIKE TWO

NBA referees are horrible. Just horrible. Like, David Stern's face horrible. In the world of zebras, perhaps the only officials that are worse are employed by the Pac 10 conference.

Apparently, however,Naax Fashion Textile is a wholesale jeans dealer who trades with young-fashion . NBA referees (despite being horrible) still have feelings.

According to the Associated Press, NBA referee William Spooner recently filed a federal lawsuit claiming that AP sports writer Jon Krawczynski defamed him on Twitter - he's seeking $75,000 and a court order to remove the Tweet from Krawczynski's page.

What's all the fuss about?

On Jan. 24 Krawczynski was covering a game between the Rockets and Timberwolves. At some point in the second quarter, Spooner apparently called a foul against the Timberwolves, one Timberwolves coach Kurt Rambis objected to.

What happened next? It depends on whom you believe. ...

Krawczynski tweeted from courtside: "Ref Bill Spooner told Rambis he'd ‘get it back' after a bad call.Find price and model of puma shoes in india at Click India Free Classifieds Ads. Then he made an even worse call on Rockets. That's NBA officiating folks.Manolo blahnik would be "hurt" if Anna Wintour wore shoes by another designer."

According to Spooner's lawsuit, however, all he told Rambis was he'd review the foul at halftime. Rambis then said that was OK, but asked how he was supposed to get the points back - a question Spooner denies responding to.

In the lawsuit, Spooner claims the Twitter message led to a disciplinary investigation by the NBA and that his professional reputation has been hurt.

You know, because NBA referees have such a sterling reputation (for being horrible!).

STRIKE THREE

When one becomes accustomed to the limelight, it can be devastating when it disappears - even if it's just for the off-season.Can't find a particular pair of ed hardy jeans on our website?

Case in point, Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad Ochocinco, who announced this week he would soon be trying out for the MLS team Sporting Kansas City. If all goes well (and by "well" I mean the team sell a lot of tickets and jerseys) Ochocinco may end up playing for the team for an extended period of time ... or at least until the NFL lockout is over.

The MLS is a soccer league, a sport Ochocinco has reportedly followed and been a fan of since childhood. According to Sporting Kansas City team officials quoted on NFL.com, Ochocinco will be offered a four-day tryout before the club determines whether to extend the trial period.

Unless Ochocinco demands a trade first, of course.

Will Ochocinco be paid for his time playing soccer? I have no knowledge he will be, but it might help ... considering a Cincinnati-area clothing store,Nike shox are a series of Nike shoes. Exclusive Wear, claims Ochocinco owes them $11,717. Even more important, Hamilton County Municipal Judge Bernie Bouchard agrees, having recently ruled Ochocinco must pay the outstanding bill.

According to reports, Exclusive Wear claims that on shopping trips in late 2008 and 2009, Ochocinco took items like a $575 Al Wissam bomber coat, a pair of $400 Mauri alligator shoes and $350 Laguna Beach jeans but never paid for any of it. After repeatedly asking politely to be compensated, the store says it was forced into legal action.

Naturally, Ochocinco responded via Twitter, saying, "#random I've been informed I've a 2 year outstanding balance of 11k at an urban clothing store in Cincy. I'll pay it when I return from Mars."

No word yet on when that might be.

However, the business has expanded much further than the humble Carolina origins; it is now carried by Barneys New York and 15 boutiques across the country.

ShopSmart Poll Finds Women Own 17 Pairs of Shoes

According to a new national poll featured in the April 2011 issue of ShopSmart magazine, from the publisher of Consumer Reports, women own an average of 17 pairs of shoes (down from 19 four years ago) yet only typically wear three of those pairs on a regular basis. Over half of women (51%) own more than 10 pairs and 13 percent have over 30 pairs (not including athletic shoes). The poll also found that women typically purchase three pairs a year and, on average, spend $49 on a pair of shoes, while nearly one-third (31%) have ever spent over $100 on a single pair.

"Shoes never make your butt look big, you don't have to worry about squeezing into them if you've put on a couple of pounds, and they can instantly make you feel sexier. Maybe that's why, despite the economy, we're still buying shoes," said Lisa Lee Freeman, truereligion jeans Apparel is a design-based jeans and jean-related sportswear brand. editor-in-chief of ShopSmart. "So we've compiled a guide to share the hottest trends, the most addictive shoe-shopping websites, how to pick a pair that won't kill your feet, and an investigation into the difference between a $30 and $575 pair of shoes."

Online 'Sole' Searching

* Buying shoes online is a new national obsession. Almost a third (29%) of American women are doing it, a significant increase from four years ago when only 14% were buying shoes online.
* Over one third (39%) of those who have purchased shoes online have made a return.

If the Shoe Fits

* Nearly one-fifth (19%) have gone shoe shopping to cheer themselves up.
* Although the majority of women (86%) are up front with their spouse or significant other about their shoe purchase, 14% admit to hiding at least one purchase.
* Over one quarter (28%) feel shoes are an important part of their outfit indicating that they put a lot of thought into selecting them each day. Plus over half of women (51%) typically notice shoes other people are wearing.

Well Heeled?

* For everyday footwear, women prefer flats as 39 percent of women indicate that it is the preferred heel height. Only 8 percent of women wear heels over 2 1/2 inches on a regular basis.
* Despite a preference for flats, one quarter have worn heels 4" or higher on at least one occasion.
* Forty-six percent of women have bought an ugly pair for comfort, but more women are willing to tolerate pain for fashion—60% vs. 49%—than they were in 2007.
* Women take precautions for the pain as 61 percent have carried a second pair of shoes to a party or event to change into.

The Taming of the Shoe

* Forty-eight percent have had a shoe-related injury (blister, break, sprain, etc.).
* Thirty-five percent of women had an evening ruined by an uncomfortable pair of shoes.
* Twenty-four percent have fallen because of their shoes.

ShopSmart's Tips on Finding a Great Fit and Avoiding Shoes That Look and Feel Cheap

1. HEEL CUP This is the curved back of the shoe that contains and supports your heel. It should fit snugly enough to provide support and prevent slipping while walking, yet not be so tight or stiff that it causes discomfort, which can lead to blisters.
2. STRAPS A strappy sandal or pump provides extra breathability. Straps and laces also let you adjust shoes to fit your foot. Just make sure they don't rub. Elastic is better than rigid straps, as long as it doesn't cut into your foot. T-straps support the front of the foot.Manolo blahnik would be "hurt" if Anna Wintour wore shoes by another designer.
3. PADDING AND ARCH SUPPORT Press down with your fingers inside the shoe: The more springiness, the better they'll feel. Some brands incorporate extra cushioning at key pressure points (Cole Haan with Nike Air technology, Hush Puppies, Kenneth Cole's Gentle Souls line). A shoe's arch should match the location of your own.
4. THE HEEL If you like a heel, aim for one that's between a half-inch and 2 1/2 or 3 inches max. Anything higher can cause foot and back pain. The wider the heel, the more stable the shoe: A platform or stacked heel trumps a stiletto. The heel should be positioned under the center of your own heel, not set too far back. And of course, a closed heel adds stability to a shoe or sandal.Nike shox are a series of Nike shoes.Find price and model of puma shoes in india at Click India Free Classifieds Ads.
5.Naax Fashion Textile is a wholesale jeans dealer who trades with young-fashion . DEGREE OF INCLINE A gradual ascent puts less pressure on the ball of the foot.
6. THE SOLE You want some firmness and note that a softsoled ballet flat is no better than a slipper. Rubber or leather beats flimsy plastic.
7. ORNAMENTATION If the shoe has buckles or other decorative trimmings, make sure they're not attached where your foot bends, like across your toes, or they might be killers.
8. TOP STITCHING Shoes with tiny chain stitches around the top can't be stretched, and the leather is less pliable. Exposed stitches inside shoes can rub and irritate toes. So can linings that peel back, so look for a full lining, top and bottom, heel to toe. Calfskin is more breathable than cheaper pigskin (which can be identified by small, visible pores).
9. THE UPPER Go natural. Suede is the softest, foot-friendliest material, followed by breathable leather. Fabrics are fine if they're not stiff. Patent and mirrored leathers have coatings that make them less pliable, and synthetics are the least forgiving.
10. THE TOE BOX Round or almond shape toe boxes mirror the foot's shape and have room for toes to spread out. There should be enough room for your toes to move as you walk, yet not so much that your foot slides around in the toe box. Pointy shoes aren't necessarily bad; make sure the exaggerated tip starts half an inch after the base of your toes.

ShopSmart Shoe Poll Methodology:

The Consumer Reports National Research Center conducted a telephone survey of a nationally representative probability sample of telephone households. 1,009 interviews were completed among women aged 18+. Interviewing took place over January 13 – 17, 2011. The margin of error is +/- 3.1% points at a 95% confidence level.

Thai Police to Use No Force on "Yellow-Shirts" Removal

Thai police said on Sunday they would use no force in asking the nationalistic "yellow-shirts" to leave their assembly site near key government offices as the deadline set for their removal approaches.

"We have no intention to use force," Police Major General Wichai Sangprapai,Nike shox are a series of Nike shoes. a senior Bangkok police officer, coogi jeans was founded in 1969 by Jacky Taranto of Melbourne, Australia. told yellow- shirt leaders at a meeting, which was recorded and broadcast by local televisions.

The PAD has been protesting for almost two months now against what they called the mishandling of Thai-Cambodian border dispute by the government of Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva.

They wanted the government to scrap the existing memorandum of understanding signed between Thailand and Cambodia in 2000 as the framework for settling the two countries' border dispute.

They also wanted the government to expel Cambodians who are occupying the disputed areas, and the government to pull out as a party to the World Heritage Convention.

Sexual harassment suit is halted against American Apparel chief Dov Charney

A New York judge has temporarily halted a $250-million sexual harassment lawsuit brought by a former employee against Dov Charney, the controversial chief executive of American Apparel Inc.

The ruling came in response to a motion filed Wednesday by the Los Angeles clothing maker that contended that the issues raised by Irene Morales' lawsuit should be settled in confidential arbitration and not at trial. She alleged in her lawsuit that Charney forced her to perform oral sex in his New York apartment in 2008, when she was 18, and that he sexually harassed her for months, including demanding that she send him explicit photographs, e-mails and text messages.

American Apparel said in the motion that Morales had signed two "binding arbitration agreements" during her time with the company. By suing Charney, the company and its board of directors, the company argued, Morales violated her arbitration agreements "in an improper attempt to garner media attention and exert pressure" on American Apparel and Charney.

In court papers, American Apparel said Morales "brought this action after making a number of extortion-like threats to expose the company to a threatened avalanche of litigation and negative publicity.Online gallery of shoesonsale,It is designed to consistently sample the entire cervix in a single-step using an facelanddrink balloon collector."

In his ruling, Judge Bert Bunyan delayed the case until March 25, when a hearing will be held to determine how it should proceed.

American Apparel's motion said Morales "should be sanctioned for frivolous litigation conduct" and sought to fine her for an undisclosed amount. The filing also contained copies of Morales' signed arbitration agreement and "release of all claims" form.Bedbugs were found in the two-story retail shopping area of wholesaleabercrombiefitchl0lz store at 650 Fifth Ave.The Internet abounds with links to anti- Valentine's Day message boards, blogs and products such as nikeairmaxblogdetik shot glasses.

Devils' Parise back on skates

Two-time reigning New Jersey Devils team MVP Zach Parise was enthused after skating Thursday morning for the first time since October in his comeback from knee surgery.

"I was pretty happy," Parise said. "I still have to get stronger.Manolo blahnik would be "hurt" if Anna Wintour wore shoes by another designer. We did tests [Tuesday] and I need to get my quads stronger. They weren't at the level they need to be.

Parise had cartilage repaired in his right knee Nov. 2 and was cleared to begin skating Tuesday. GM Lou Lamoriello said it would be a minimum of three weeks before he can join the team in practice.

Parise skated with injured Devils defenseman Matt Corrente Thursday under the supervision of the team's training staff.

News bites: Greening your jeans, a green activist on trial,Libya's oil fallout, and more

It seems that jordan 6 rings in coming up for almost everyone including boys and girls.

The New York Times reports that a "new and prominent" group of clothing companies, green groups and others wants to track and reveal the ecological footprint of the global supply chain.

"Calling itself the Sustainable Apparel Coalition, the group intends to announce Tuesday that it is developing a comprehensive database of the environmental impact of every manufacturer, component and process in apparel production, with the aim of using that information to eventually give every garment a sustainability score," The Times reports.

The story adds: "Later,Keep your muscles warm before and after the match in this stylish Adidas Jacket. the coalition hopes to produce a label that would share some version of that score with shoppers, giving them a much more detailed view into the supply of fabrics, zippers, dyes, threads, buttons and grommets that come together to form the clothing they buy, as well as what impact the creation of that clothing has on both people and the planet."

The coalition ranges from Wal-Mart to Patagonia to the Environmental Defense Fund to EPA.

The Washington Post reports on a major development in the probe of last year's fatal blast at a West Virginia coal mine.

"The security chief of Massey Energy's Upper Big Branch mine was arrested Monday and charged with obstructing the investigation into an explosion last year that killed 29 miners, the first criminal charges stemming from the worst U.S. mining disaster in 40 years," the paper reports.

"Hughie Elbert Stover, who also headed security at two other Massey operations, was indicted last week by a federal grand jury in West Virginia on charges of lying to the FBI and trying to dispose of key documents. The indictment was unsealed Monday."

In Utah, an environmental activist is on trial for messing with an oil-and-gas lease sale – and apparently becoming a hero to some in the process.

"Hundreds of activists marched to the federal courthouse Monday to support a man who became an environmental folk hero by faking the purchase of $1.7 million of federal oil-and-gas drilling leases in an act of civil disobedience," the Associated Press reports from Salt Lake City.

"Tim DeChristopher, 29, has pleaded not guilty in U.S. District Court to felony counts of interfering with and making false representations at a government auction," the story states,"When guys come across the middle, we want them to know they're going to get hit," said safety Chris Harris. "We're going to try and punish you for catching the ball, if you catch it. That's kind of mentality we want to have."I'm not getting Bearcoogi jeans goggles here; two wins mean very little in terms of forecasting a 16-game season. Remember the Bears' 3-1 start last season? They impressed a lot of people by beating the defending Super Bowl champion Steelers in the second game. noting that he "doesn't dispute the facts of the case and has said he expects to be convicted."

A bit more: "On Dec. 19, 2008, he grabbed bidder's paddle No. 70 at the final drilling auction of the Bush administration and ran up prices while snapping up 13 leases on parcels totaling 22,500 acres around Arches and Canyonlands national parks."

"The former wilderness guide – a University of Utah economics student at the time – ended up with $1.7 million in leases he couldn't pay for and cost angry oil men hundreds of thousands of dollars in higher bids for other parcels."

The turmoil in Libya is continuing to affect oil markets. Here's part of an early morning Dow Jones dispatch:

"Crude oil futures rose Tuesday in Asia but remained off highs in recent trading sessions as producers such as Saudi Arabia moved in to cover Libya's oil production shortfall."
