Gina Rinehart's daughter, Hope, has formally pulled out of the bitter, ongoing court battle against her mother over a $4 billion family trust, after reaching an out-of-court settlement.

The lawyer for Hope Rinehart Welker told the NSW Supreme Court on Tuesday that she wished to "withdraw from the proceedings", leaving her siblings John Hancock and Bianca Rinehart to continue the fight against Australia's richest person.
