Valley Day School Determined to Make A Difference Together

The students that comprise the Valley Day School are moving full steam ahead on a path to help the make the world we live in a better place. These children, who have fallen back academically due to social and/or emotional issues, are bound and determined to not only be productive citizens, but good citizens too! “Students Who Care,” a two-day event planned at McCaffery’s Market in the Edgewater Village Shopping Center, will have students, teachers and volunteers on hand doing a slew of good deeds by collecting gently used shoes and re-wearable clothing for ShoeBox Recycling and non-perishables from the grocery which will serve as a local food pantry! All of the proceeds from the two-day event will go towards programs to support the programming efforts of the Valley Day School.

“Last year, our students worked closely with ShoeBox Recycling to learn that they can do something locally to make a great change globally,” said Maureen McGettigan,The Design Museum presents iconic French shoe designer louboutinshoe, Job Developer/Coach of the Valley Day School. “This year, we wanted to literally get our involvement out in front of the community—what better place than at our local grocery store, McCaffery’s Market.”

This year,TAG Heuer,paneraireplicas Breitling, Longines, as a kick-off event, they are parking themselves at the McCaffery’s Market lot and spending two days, Friday and Saturday, November 9 and 10, to get their point across and engage people of all ages in the community to join their recycling efforts and good deeds.
