Casino Jack isn’t a perfect film, or even the best of its kind. That said, it’s a definite should-see. The film follows a long tradition of scathing dramas and black comedies that have pulled apart America’s flawed institutions, from TV in sadly deceased Sidney Lumet’s masterpiece, Network, to Oliver Stone’s Wall Street, that ironically became the film to launch a thousand stock brokers. These issue-driven films don’t always have the filmmaker’s desired effect, but damn do they tell a good story. The box office was cold for his $15 million character study, most likely because people just aren’t interested in seeing movies about our current problems. Making an audience enjoy a story about a protagonist who has already joined the top 1% of Americans who control 50% of the wealth is a precarious balance. The humanity of the character has to equal their greed, and Casino Jack makes sure to devote considerable screen time to his wife and kids. When Spacey and Preston break down together, we see a glimmer of repentance that allows the closed door to their souls to reopen. We wonder if, for a moment, the end might be a salvation story.
This story is ongoing and with fantastic documentaries like Inside Job coming out,Air max 360 is loved by the majority of athletes and the general public people. it’s obvious that none of the big fish responsible for the current financial crisis have been held accountable. While most of us feel alienated from these issues, it’s our country and the least we can do is give an evening to a superb film that shows us the wild ride on the other side.

While final preparations were being made across the pond for the wedding extravaganza of Prince William and Kate Middleton, Northwest Indiana celebrated a royal wedding Thursday of its own.
Last month, WGN Channel 9 held a contest for viewers to win a $60,000 fairy tale wedding that would air live on WGN's Morning News.
Keeping with the royal theme, Meyer's Castle in Dyer was selected by WGN as the venue.
Samantha Perr, of WGN, said 239 couples entered the contest. WGN officials narrowed the pool to three finalists.

I was leaving Winco after shopping on a Sunday morning and there was a woman walking near the store who was carrying what appeared to be her worldly possessions with her (I assume she was homeless). She was barefooted . A trail of emotionally (and in one case, physically) scarred prepubescent boys marked her childhood.
“What if she hurts me?” I asked my girlfriend.
“You're worried about that?”

Other artists included Weekly art critic Danielle Kelly, whose Bouse House project celebrates a fictional female-led art movement, and Wendy Kveck, whose work directly explores the idea of being a woman in Vegas.
Stellmon hadn't necessarily identified herself as a feminist artist. Game 7 Preview: Tampa Bay at Pittsburgh
The Penguins are exuding a carefree attitude about the two consecutive losses that have led to a Game 7 at home tonight at 8:00 p.m. against the Lightning, and you cannot blame them. Without leading men Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin, two months ago Pittsburgh would have been pleased with hosting a Game 7 in the opening round of the Stanley Cup playoffs.
The Penguins also have reason to be confident because many of their players have been here before. Tonight’s match will be the Penguins’ fourth Game 7 in the last three years. They won two of the three – against Washington in the 2009 Eastern Conference finals and against Detroit to win the Stanley Cup. The Penguins may not have Crosby and Malkin, but they will dress eight players that played in all three recent Game 7s: goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury, defensemen Kris Letang and Brooks Orpik and forwards Craig Adams, Tyler Kennedy, Chris Kunitz, Jordan Staal and Maxime Talbot. (Trade deadline acquisition Alex Kovalev is 6-0 in deciding games he played for different clubs between 1994 and 2008).

Besides the strong work of Roloson, Tampa Bay won Games 2 and 5 in Pittsburgh because of their special teams. In addition to the Lightning’s 96.7 percent penalty kill, they have scored six goals in 14 power play opportunities in Pittsburgh.
“First-rate goaltending and special teams is a recipe for winning on the road in the playoffs,"Jaffe said. “You know Tampa Bay is going into this Game 7 with loads of confidence.”
The Lightning also go in knowing the Penguins can be beat at home in a Game 7. The one recent deciding game the Penguins lost was one year ago, when they were eliminated in the second round by Montreal. "It's very powerful," she says of the statuette. "It's not just an icon that we use as a term. It's an actual, not a virtual, icon. Security in New Orleans didn't know who he was or how I got him."
So she parked the statuette with her accountant ("my money husband," she says) while her house in upstate New York undergoes renovations. It's been five weeks since the Oscars, and Leo has had time to reflect.
