KLE director Anil Patted said the new "unique dress code is designed by a Bangalore-based designer to suit the present-day taste".
"The change reflects the feelings of students and their parents. They had found the previous uniform less exciting. That uniform was making our students feel inferior while they met their counterparts from other schools during inter-school events," he added.
