That brings us to Easter and a rare national event

It's payoff time for those who've kept up and stayed fit and can enjoy taking part week after week. Others have to pace themselves a little.

Last weekend, some of us ducked over to Wellington for the national championship in the triathlon Olympic distance. The final night is next Thursday, when swimmers will be paired off, fastest with slowest, for a fun relay, barbecue and prizegiving, but the competition isn't over yet.
