Oak Hills sophomore pitcher/shortstop Tommy Anderson earned the Mojave River League Player of the Year award, which was announced Tuesday.

BERGMANN WINS AGAIN: Oak Hills shortstop Stephanie Bergmann repeated as the MRL Player of the Year, when the teams were announced Tuesday.

Bergmann wrapped up her junior season hitting .598 with 42 runs scored, 24 RBIs, seven doubles, six triples, two home runs, an .843 slugging percentage and a .611 on-base percentage in leading the Bulldogs to another MRL title.

Three of Bergmann’s teammates — sophomore second baseman Jacalyn Edwards, sophomore first baseman Jeannette Roldan and junior pitcher Victoria Gonzales — made the MRL first team.

The second team consisted of Apple Valley junior second baseman Hailey Baca; Hesperia third baseman Macie Christian; Oak Hills freshman outfielder Josefina Mora; Serrano freshman second baseman Sydney Rasmussen; and Sultana senior second baseman Madisyn Larabell and freshman shortstop Belle Placencia.
