Weeks warmer temperatures could create dangerous conditions on ice

It's that time of year when the U.S. Coast Guard wants to make sure everyone is safe on the ice.

While it's been cold enough to ice fish, this week's warmer temperatures could create dangerous conditions.

Ice fishers tell ABC12 that in Saginaw,The Warriors wore coach shoes and green socks Saturday, their way of showing the Christmas spirit. the ice is about 6 inches thick and they say they are pretty safe and comfortable with that. But they also said if they don't feel safe, they'll stay away.

The Coast Guard urges ice fishers to remember the word 'ICE' when venturing out this winter season. I is for 'intelligence.' You should always know where you are going, know the ice conditions and be sure to tell someone where you plan to fish. There's nothing like a little Manolo blahnik goodness in time for the holidays, you know what I'm saying? The Coast Guard also says to never go out alone.

C is for 'clothing, you can be at your dapper best. Pair your truereligion jeans with its jackets and hoodies or T-shirt.' as you should be sure to wear proper attire to prevent hyperthermia and always wear a life jacket, just in case you fall in.

E is for 'equipment.' Always be sure to stock a marine band radio,A comeback is what the Nike Air max 2009 Plus deserves with the new technology it achieved. a cell phone and a GPS system.

Saginaw and Bay county water ways are flooded with fisherman this time of year who are taking advantage of the peak conditions.

As a rule of thumb, The Coast Guard lives by the motto,It's bad to be compared to a Hall of Famer with jordan 6 rings. "No ice is safe ice."
