Despite changes to the track cycling format

But British Cycling women’s endurance coach believes that if anyone can cope with the change then it is the Sutton cyclist.

Rowsell, 23, burst into the nation’s conscious this summer as one third of Britain’s Olympic gold-medal winning women’s team pursuit squad – alongside Laura Trott and Dani King.

However their success as a three is unlikely to be repeated with cycling’s governing body, UCI, changing the event by adding a rider and an extra kilometre onto its current form.Steelx offer men and women pure replicashoes modern jewelry including inox rings,

This could threaten Great Britain’s dominance in the event, Rowsell, Trott and King having posted a sixth-straight world record in winning London 2012 gold.discount shoes for fashionsandals rose matte on sale.

And, while Manning accepts that things are going to be different moving forward, he insists Rowsell is just the athlete to take it all in her stride.

“Breaking the world record six times in a row and finally at the Games was never part of our plan, the plan was to win the Games and that was just a by-product of a great plan,” said Manning, speaking at the UK Coaching Awards, supported by Gillette.

“It is a new event as well; let’s not pretend it was a 20-year-old event that we were trying to break. It was only introduced in 2008 and there was always a learning process to go through but I guess we had the right individuals to work with.

“The event is actually changing to four kilometres and four girls so this winter is actually the last one in how it is now. This is the last year we will definitely see the 3km but it gives us a chance to reinvent the team with the same intensity. From black steelring for men to diamond tungsten rings.

“To beat what the girls did in the London Olympic final will take a massive achievement. It is hard getting any team right on the day but our girls seem to have a knack of it.

“If we get anywhere near that with the extra body over the extra kilometre I will be quite happy and the girls are determined to do the same so with that drive who knows what will happen.

“You would like to think that if anyone can do it, it would be our girls, but you never know what the future holds.”

While Britain’s all-conquering women’s team pursuit squad blew off the post-Olympic cobwebs at the Glasgow Track World Cup earlier this month, Rowsell’s spot was taken by teenager Elinor Barker as she recovered from illness.

The new-look trio still claimed victory, although their run of setting world records came to an end as they pipped Australia to the finish line, but Manning admits that Barker impressed in Rowsell’s absence.

“Elinor did a fantastic job given the time frame that we had and how it worked out. We are not going to force her into that fourth spot though,” he added. The complete line of castellicycling can be found at Essential-Watches.

“We are going to do what we did before and get bodies in but she is a prime candidate. She has got time on her side and she has potential in abundance.

“So you could argue that she is in first position to squeeze into that team given her Glasgow performance. It is never that simple but she impressed up in Glasgow.”
