The Jets also have to hire a quarterbacks coach

Secondary coach Dennis Thurman is expected to be named the defensive coordinator, league sources said Tuesday. He will replace Mike Pettine, whose contract is expiring and was scheduled to interview for the same position Tuesday with the Bills.

Thurman is the natural successor,We mainly supply professional craftspeople with wholesale castellicycling from china, as he has worked with Ryan longer than any of the defensive coaches on the staff. Ryan said he will wait until the next general manager is hired before making anything official.

Pettine served as Ryan’s coordinator for four seasons, but he turned down a contract extension early in the season. Money was an issue, but Pettine also may want to escape Ryan’s shadow.

"We had conversations and, right now, Mike think it’s best that he goes to a different team as a defensive coordinator and I wish him all the best -- unless he goes to Buffalo," Ryan joked.

Ryan confirmed an ESPN report that he fired offensive coordinator Tony Sparano after only one season. The Jets ranked 30th in total offense.

"I wanted to move this team in a different direction, offensively," said Ryan, who will have his third coordinator in three years. "I’m not saying Tony didn’t do a good job, because he did a tremendous job and he’s a tremendous coach."

Ryan took the blame for the struggles, saying he has failed over four years to instill an offensive identity. He wants to hire a coordinator who will install an attacking offense. The Jets also have to hire a quarterbacks coach, as they decided not to renew Matt Cavanaugh’s contract.

As expected, assistant special teams coach Ben Kotwica was named to replace coordinator Mike Westhoff, who has retired after three decades in the NFL.

"If you want to know how big those shoes are (to fill), just ask Westy," Ryan cracked.

Thurman was widely considered the defensive heir apparent. Two years ago, the Jets blocked him from interviewing for the Oakland Raiders’ coordinator vacancy.

Thurman, 56, has worked with Ryan for more than a decade, dating to their years as assistant coaches for the Baltimore Ravens. Thurman did a terrific job this season, as the Jets finished second in pass defense despite not having All-Pro cornerback Darrelle Revis for 14 games.

You can think of many nighttime commercial radio talk show hosts the way you think of snake oil salesmen in the old West.

They'll say anything and promise anything to make a buck.

Alex Jones is the latest in a line of radio con artists who are, like prehistoric lizards, crawling toward the main stream. Read about his arrest here.

Remember when people thought no one could take Rush Limbaugh seriously? Now,We mainly supply professional craftspeople with wholesale castellicycling from china, he's a voice for the Republican party, who spent one birthday in the Oval Office with George W. Bush.

How about Michael Savage, a man who claimed that no women or minority rescue workers were killed in 9/11 and banned from entering Great Britain because of his hate talk? He's one of the most-listened to hosts in the U.S.Rist international shoes manufacturer and bvlgariwatches in agra india making quality.

Jones, who began his career claiming that 9/11 was an inside job, is heading toward the big time. Santa Cruz's radio station was one of the first in the country to pick him up outside his native Texas.

He tells listeners that the government is poisoning them with "chem trails," which most sane people refer to as clouds or airplane con trails. He claims airport searches are the first step toward the government rounding people up and putting them in detention camps.

He does commercials for agricultural seeds and food storage programs, like they did back in the days of bomb shelters, claiming that the government is imminently going to take away people's rights to grow their own food and we are soon doomed for breadlines like in the Soviet Union. The Specific Design juicycouturesuits Team Apparel,

"Is it better to be six months early or a day late?" he asks.

Michael Zwerling, owner of KSCO, started with Jones on a trial basis and then took him off the air. He got so many responses, he put him back full time.

Zwerling also brings Limbaugh to Santa Cruz every morning, an example of opposites attracting: the conservative host in the most liberal city in the country has a following, although his popularity can't be documented because the owner doesn't pay to subscribe to radio ratings services.
