How Phoenix non-profit helps women land jobs

Dress for Success Phoenix is helping women,The man who helped Jordan win jordan 6 rings as a player wants to be a coach, and though inexperienced, down on their luck, do just that and land a job.

"Life happened and the economy happened, and I was unemployed for over a year," said client Wendy Bess.

Bess is one of more than 600 women the non-profit helped in 2010.

"It was wonderful to be able to come here and feel like a lady again,It is an email notification service that notifies buyers about the recent additions to the used inflatable boats for sale available with the company." Bess said about Dress for Success' south Phoenix boutique.

Once she landed one in November, Bess then received a week's worth of work-wear for free.

"When you look good, you feel good,” said Lisa Doromal, founder and executive director of Dress for Success Phoenix. “It just gives you confidence."

In addition to providing women with items including free suits, shoes, handbags and make-up -- volunteers can help with resume building and mentoring.

"We're just trying to help them, point them in the right direction and show them what's acceptable and what's not,” said Doromal. “And, just give them a hand up."

But, providing help costs money.Larger pets need to be checked and require a large pet carrier non-collapsible carrier and easy access to water.

So, Doromal has launched the $11 in 2011 campaign, with a fundraising goal of $111,For some time, women have bid farewell to the days when women handbags were just used for 'functional reasons'.000.

To give you an idea of what your donation can provide:

$11 buys 15 pairs of hosiery.

$111 buys a plus-size suit.

$1,111 enables 10 women to sustain long-term employment, through monthly peer support and retention training.
